You’ll get a real taste of Costa Rican farm life! Depending on your chosen tour, activities include meeting and feeding friendly farm animals (cows, goats, etc.), walking our nature & plant trail, learning about bees, trying traditional goat milking, participating in authentic Costa Rican campesino farm chores, making fresh cheese & tortillas, and enjoying local food. It’s a truly educational farm visit for kids and adults in Arenal.

We highly recommend wearing comfortable clothes suitable for the outdoors and closed-toe shoes (essential for walking on the farm). Don’t forget sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and your camera to capture memories of your Costa Rica farm tour! Bringing a reusable water bottle is also a great idea.

Welcome to the Costa Rican rainforest! Tours typically run rain or shine. Many activities are under shelter or can be adapted. We have covered areas for important parts like dining and workshops. Just bring a light rain jacket or poncho, and embrace the lush surroundings!

Finca El Tuete is located just 30 minutes from La Fortuna town center. You can easily reach us by taxi or rental car. [Link to Google Maps].

The need for a 4×4 vehicle to reach Finca El Tuete depends on the time of year you visit, due to Costa Rica’s distinct seasons.

During Costa Rica’s Dry Season (roughly December to April), a 4×4 is generally not required. Our access involves [describe briefly, e.g., ‘unpaved sections’ or ‘typical rural Costa Rican roads’], but it’s usually manageable with a standard rental car during this drier period.

However, during the Rainy/Green Season (roughly May to November), the road conditions become more challenging due to potential rain and mud. For reliable and safe access during these months, a 4×4 vehicle is necessary. That being said, if you’re an off-road enthusiast, you might find the drive a fun adventure at this time of year!

Important Note on Route: There are two main routes to reach us. We strongly recommend using the entrance via Santa Eulalia or Linda Vista for the best road conditions. Please contact us (write or call), and we’ll gladly help with specific directions or if you need assistance.
